OutGear is a small, independent outdoor brand. We make a tight catalog of honest tools — optics, lights, and trail gear — and we stand behind every one for life. We field-test what we sell before we sell it. We don't run sales, we don't make seasonal collections, and we don't make anything we wouldn't carry ourselves.
We started OutGear because we got tired of buying outdoor gear twice. The first time we bought it new. The second time we bought it again, after the first one quit on us mid-trip — usually somewhere we couldn't replace it. Cheap optics fogged in the rain. Cheap lights died in the cold. Cheap poles bent under bodyweight on a steep descent. None of it failed where you could send it back; all of it failed where you needed it.
So we built a short list. One product at a time, each tested for a full season before we shipped it. Real numbers on the spec sheet, real warranty behind the box, and an inbox we actually answer. No collections, no influencer kits, no "premium" anything. Just gear we use, sold at what it costs us to do right by it.
Gear earns its place by working, not by sitting on a shelf or matching the rest of the kit. If it doesn't survive a real season, it doesn't survive our line.
We'd rather make a few things well than a catalog of things badly. Every product on the site is tested for a full season before launch. We add slowly, on purpose.
Lifetime warranty, free repairs, parts stocked for years. The first time you have to send something back to us should be the last time you have to think about it.
Tools shipped to outfitters, hunters, hikers, and SAR teams since launch.
